Let’s get real about what’s holding you back - and start really living.
My story
I was born and raised, and still live, in Phoenix, AZ. I grew up in churches and Christian schools. My personal journey over the past 20+ years has been about confronting and healing from oppressive systems and defining my own gender identity. I share this because as a therapist, so much of the suffering I witness comes from things like internalized misogyny, homophobia, transphobia, and bigotry. I bring this consciousness into every session.
Prior to starting my practice, I was a therapist and supervisor for over 10 years on a reservation adjacent to Phoenix, working with exclusively indigenous populations. Before that, my experience was with inpatient psychiatric stabilization, intensive outpatient and residential eating disorder treatment. I work with addictions, trauma/PTSD, depression and anxiety, while continuing the ongoing work of confronting oppressive systems and examining my own biases.
Today I identify as athiest, humanist, gender non-binary and neurodivergent (ADHD). My ethnic identity and culture are white, with roots in Northern Europe including Great Britain, Germany and Norway. My home is on the land of the PeePosh, Akimel O’odham and HuHuKam nations. I’m a single parent of two elementary aged kids and I love creating music, drawing, watching monsoons and, more than anything, connecting with people on a deeply authentic level. The communities I tend to connect with most often are non-white, queer, and folx leaving or questioning oppressive religion (any or all of the above).

Bachelor of Science in Psychology, Grand Canyon University, 2005
Master of Arts in Counseling, Argosy University, 2009

I had the honor of being with Gila River Healthcare (on the Gila River Indian Community) from 2011-2022 as a case manager, therapist, clinical manager and lastly as an intake specialist. I served people primarily from the Akimel O’odham (Pima) and PeePosh (Maricopa) tribes, but also many others including Navajo, Apache, Chocktaw and Sioux. My love and respect for the Gila River Indian Community run deep. The stories shared with me on the reservation are sacred and central to my work with all folx who have experienced historical/intergenerational trauma.
Counseling modalities
Narrative, Humanistic/Person-Centered (Rogerian) therapy with elements of CBT and DBT. I utilize sensory modalities and art therapy, and all of my work is trauma-informed.
